As far as I know Terry Pratchett's latin is generally pretty inaccurate? In at least some of the cases I know it's deliberate--'cause discworld--but idk if that one was or not.

It may well be! Given the fairly poor quality of the Latin that’s used for a lot of similar mottos and proverbs in the real world (because many of the Latin mottos and proverbs currently in circulation were made up by people in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries who weren’t really very good at it), it would make perfect sense for the Discworld books to satirize that by using similarly ropey Latin. And it’s also possible that Pratchett wanted to make the words vaguely recognizable to English-speakers who don’t know Latin (and who’d be more likely to be able to guess ‘cerebellum’ and ‘cardia’ than ‘mentem’ and ‘corda’) so they could enjoy the joke.
So yeah, I don’t mean to be like ‘Terry Pratchett how dare you misuse the subjunctive mood, you have dishonoured my ancestors’ or anything. Just that it’s important that people shouldn’t mistake this for good Latin.
