Los Angeles, present day: Michael Lewis (Adrian Lester), longtime money-launderer, con artist, and general criminal-for-hire, overwhelmed and devastated by the recent murder of his wife, is leaving the business for good. Nicholas Zhao (Leung), casino tycoon and reigning king of the city’s criminal underworld, isn’t about to let his prized associate get away so easily. Lewis’ mother-in-law, society matron Ruth Crosby (Walter), has arrived to pay her respects and attempt to mend their fraught relationship, and daughter Gabrielle (Lenora Crichlow), increasingly frustrated by being so involved in a world she has no idea how to manage in, finds herself more and more drawn to Zhao - and the world her father is trying his best to leave behind.

I was just telling Pear about this earlier and wanted to find it so I went to my archive but I couldn’t find it and it seems like I must have opened it in a new window to reblog it later and then for some reason I never did? I feel really bad because I didn’t even Like it (because I was intending to reblog it) and you must have thought I just didn’t see it or saw it and didn’t like it, but I did see it and really liked it because it’s awesome!
